Position Summary

Position is responsible for a variety of clerical functions in our case management system, greeting and providing customer service. Position is responsible for accurate and timely processing of court revenue.

Position Responsibilities

Greets and serves the public at the counter, answers questions and provides information, receives and processes payments as required

Reviews court documents for completeness and scan them into our case management system.

Pull court room slates and file files after court sessions.

Sorts and prepare documents to be scanned into our Case Management System. Removal of staples, paper clips, etc.; and separating the documents in a file by public and confidential.

Collects court fees and payments (i.e. cash, checks and money orders) in various systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience in receiving, preparing, processing, and filing a variety of legal documents such as those found in the Court or similar legal office setting. One (1) years’ experience handling cash. Computer operation skills are required. Understanding where files need to go, explaining to people how to request information or store information takes clear communication. Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality for a lot of sensitive information. Organizational skills required. Being a friendly, active listener.

Independent Judgment

Position requires the knowledge of established policies and procedures, which controls most of the incumbent(s) actions. Very limited independent judgment is utilized.
