Indiana is fueling a revolution in precision agriculture.

We’re one of the top ten agriculture-producing states in the U.S., and our businesses are helping transform the Corn Belt into an agricultural Tech Belt. Since 2010, Central Indiana has outpaced national job growth in every major agbioscience occupational area. And that talent is leading the way toward new, research-driven solutions to improve agriculture processes and help close the global food gap.

In Indy, we approach agriculture and AgTech as a larger industry sector we call: agbioscience—where food, agriculture, science, and technology converge. With new innovations like 3D printing and drone technology, it’s more important than ever that we study agriculture from a collaborative, cross-industry perspective.

Our local agbioscience community is especially committed to developing a strong talent pipeline and lasting business partnerships to advance the industry. Purdue University is a key part of that network with the #1 Agriculture & Biological Engineering program in the U.S. and research relationships with leading companies like Elanco and Corteva. Indiana is also the headquarters for the National Future Farmers of America (FFA), which provides leadership, personal growth, and career success training for students across the country.
