Devour Indianapolis Winterfest | January 20 – February 2
Devour Indy is a citywide celebration of our local restaurant industry. During this two-week festival, Indy’s best restaurants offer unique value-priced menu items to encourage Hoosiers to live adventurously and indulge their inner foodie.
With more than 100 restaurants to choose from, all you have to do is check out the list of participating restaurants, decide what you want to try, and get ready for a night out. No ticket or coupon is required; just ask for the Devour menu!
Devour Indy takes place twice each year—once in January and once in August. So, if you miss out on Winterfest, you can always try one of Indy’s new restaurants during Summerfest from August 18–31!
WWE Royal Rumble | February 1
Indianapolis has a reputation for racing and basketball, but did you know we’re also home to a passionate wrestling scene? In 2024, WWE revealed that they’re bringing all three of their largest stadium events to Indianapolis, starting with the 2025 Royal Rumble at Indy’s iconic Lucas Oil Stadium.
The WWE Royal Rumble is one of the most anticipated events in professional wrestling, drawing fans from across the country for an unforgettable night of sports entertainment. This 30-person battle royal invites superstars to compete and earn their place in a world championship match at WrestleMania.

The Greatest Spectacle in Racing returns to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500. WNBA All-Star Game | July 19

Indiana State Fair | August 1 – 17
The Indiana State Fair is back again in early August, offering a fun family experience unlike any other! As one of the nation’s oldest state fairs, the Indiana State Fair is a beloved Hoosier tradition that still offers fresh new foods, rides, and festivities each year.
This annual fair offers over two weeks of entertaining events that celebrate and educate visitors on our state’s agriculture industry, while giving guests a taste of the fruits of their labor.
For our fair favorites, we recommend visiting the livestock in the barns, as well as going for a ride on the Skyline for a bird’s eye view of the entire fairgrounds. And lastly, you cannot miss the food! Grab a slice of pickle pizza, a refreshing lemon shake-up, some deep-fried oreos, and more. Make sure you come hungry because there are plenty of delicious culinary oddities you can’t get anywhere else!
LIV Golf Indianapolis | August 15 – 17
Indianapolis isn’t the only city in the international spotlight this year! Westfield, Indiana, was selected to host a three-day LIV Golf tournament, where the world’s best golfers compete for the 2025 LIV Golf League Individual Champion title.
The tournament will be held at The Club at Chatham Hills, one of the last golf courses designed by architect Pete Dye—a local legend with over 200 courses to his name. This event will be the final stop of their international golf tour, attracting an estimated 30,000 visitors to Westfield’s stunning championship course.
Visitors can look forward to three days of elite golfing events, as well as fan activities, live music, interactive experiences, and more!

The Dali Alive Exhibit at The LUME in Newfields | Until March 2
Newfields is a premier cultural destination in Indianapolis, home to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park. Spanning 152 acres, the Newfields campus serves as a hub for creativity and discovery—with exhibitions, performances, and family-friendly programs that engage both local and global audiences.
One of their most acclaimed exhibits is The LUME, an immersive art experience that surrounds you in floor-to-ceiling projections. Until March 2, The LUME is featuring Dali Alive, an exhibit that celebrates the life and work of Salvador Dali by painting the space with his beautiful dreamscapes. Tickets can be purchased here.
Indy Design Week | April 21 – 26
The city’s hottest design event, Indy Design Week (IDW) will return for their seventh annual festival with a bold and thought-provoking theme: Hues. IDW’s mission is to celebrate, connect, and elevate design across all disciplines and industries, inspiring collaboration and storytelling that amplifies the impact of design in our city and beyond.
Hues will foster conversations on color theory, the emotional and psychological effects of color, its interplay across design disciplines, and the cultural significance of shades that shape our everyday lives. Exhibit Columbus | August 15 – 16
Exhibit Columbus is a dynamic hub of creativity that showcases art, architecture, and design across the City of Columbus, Indiana. This renowned event features a two-year cycle of programming that includes Design Presentations, an artist Symposium, and an Exhibition built to engage audiences with innovative ideas and inspiring installations.
On February 21–22, you can catch this year’s Design Presentations, a free event that highlights installation concepts from thirteen talented designers and studios. This event shines a spotlight on creators and invites community input into the exhibition process.
Then, in August, their much-anticipated 2025 Exhibition will open to the public, offering a stunning showcase of site-responsive design in Columbus’ unparalleled architectural landscape. The exhibition will remain on view through November 30, so there’s plenty of time to plan your visit!
BUTTER Fine Art Fair | August 29 – September 1
BUTTER, an annual fine art fair held in Indianapolis, celebrates the work of Black visual artists. Organized by cultural development group GANGGANG, this event is always highly anticipated, showcasing an array of diverse artworks while offering a platform for both emerging and established Black creators.
Taking place on Labor Day weekend, BUTTER is not just an art gallery; it’s an experience—with live music, good food, and a vibrant atmosphere that merges the worlds of art and culture.
Another reason why BUTTER stands out? Their curatorial team makes an effort to loan or sell 100% of the fair’s artwork and ensure that all the profits go directly to the artist, emphasizing their mission to be a blueprint for equity. Indy Ignite
It’s time to Ignite the Fire! Women’s volleyball is one of the most popular high school sports in the Hoosier State, but our nation has never had a pro volleyball league—until now. Indy Ignite is Indiana’s first professional volleyball team, bringing elite athletes and high-energy action right to the new Fishers Event Center.
As part of the Pro Volleyball Federation, Indy Ignite provides a new opportunity for Hoosier fans to experience the thrill of top-tier women’s volleyball. The team will also empower countless young girls to learn directly from the pros and envision a career doing what they love. Indy Ignite’s season begins January 2025 with regular season games scheduled through May.
Fishers Freight
The Fishers Event Center will also be the home of the Fishers Freight—a new professional team in the Indoor Football League (IFL). The IFL is the nation’s longest continually-running indoor football league with 14 teams across the country.

Fishers Event Center

Noblesville Event Center
Currently under construction, the upcoming Noblesville Event Center is set to open in Fall 2025, bringing a new entertainment hub to the Innovation Mile District! This 3,400-seat arena will serve as the new home of the NBA G-League Team known as the Indiana Mad Ants.
In addition to basketball games, the venue is designed to host local community events, conferences, entertainment, and other sporting events. This variety will perfectly complement the concerts at Ruoff Music Center, while enhancing the cultural and recreational landscape of Noblesville and the greater Indianapolis area.

The Toy Pit in Indianapolis
Get ready to dive into The Toy Pit! Indy’s largest toy store recently relocated to a new, spacious 13,000-square-foot facility near the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This store has been in Indianapolis since 2014—with an extensive collection of vintage toys, action figures, games, and pop culture memorabilia. Now, thanks to their expanded facility, the Toy Pit has grown into a true treasure trove for collectors, kids, and enthusiasts of all ages.
Centennial Ferris Wheel at the Children’s Museum | March 15
2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of the famous Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, the best and biggest children’s museum in the world! In honor of the occasion, the Children’s Museum will debut the brand-new Centennial Ferris Wheel, offering stunning views of the city skyline from 110 feet in the air.
Starting March 15, visitors can experience the museum in a whole new way, riding one of the wheel’s 24 gondolas all the way to the top. Each gondola has room for six people, including one accessible gondola specially designed for wheelchair users.
SubDaze Sandwich Shop
SubDaze—Zionsville’s newest sandwich shop—opened in November 2024, revitalizing the space previously occupied by Sub 16. Ascension St. Vincent YMCA in Westfield
Opening in January 2025, the new Ascension St. Vincent YMCA in Westfield will be a game-changer for health, fitness, and community connection in Hamilton County. B’s Bagels in Westfield

Sahm’s Tavern in Irvington
In 2024, Sahm’s Tavern brought their popular blend of delicious comfort food and sports bar vibes to the cozy Irvington neighborhood of Indianapolis. New Parks & Trails
One of Indy’s greatest strengths is how much the community values nature and provides ample opportunities for residents to explore the outdoors. In 2025, you can unplug and recharge at one of the many new trails and greenspaces across the region.
Indianapolis Cultural Trail Expansion
The Indianapolis Cultural Trail is a unique urban walking and biking trail that connects residents with all of Indy’s downtown districts. When it was first constructed, the trail spanned eight miles—and now, it’s grown to nearly 11-miles long with more on the way!
The Cultural Trail recently opened a new pathway near Indy’s Southside, connecting Fountain Square to the Wholesale District and creating a path to the heart of the Circle City. By 2026, this will expand across the new White River bridge and lead directly into the One Health Innovation District under construction around the new Elanco Global Headquarters. Virgil Park in Brownsburg
In case you missed it, the town of Brownsburg opened a beautiful new greenspace in 2024 called Virgil Park. This vibrant park spans more than six acres and includes a half-mile trail network complete with boardwalks, an exercise area, a picnic shelter, and a small playground.
Virgil Park also provides super easy access to the popular B&O Trail that stretches 8.5 miles through Hendricks County and down into Speedway, Indiana. This park is a spectacular addition to the local outdoor recreation scene and well worth a visit for local families in the area.
Nickel Plate Trail Completion
In 2025, the completion of the Nickel Plate Trail will mark a major milestone for connectivity and outdoor recreation in the Indy region. Stretching from downtown Indianapolis to Noblesville, this multi-use trail follows the historic Nickel Plate railroad corridor, offering a scenic and accessible route for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
A centerpiece of the project is the new pedestrian bridge over 82nd Street, set to be completed by Fall 2025. This bridge will seamlessly connect the trail between Fishers and Indianapolis, improving safety while encouraging regional connectivity. Once finished, the Nickel Plate Trail will serve as a link between communities, giving residents and visitors a better way to explore the neighborhood, enjoy nature, and experience Indy in a new and exciting way.

IndyGo’s Purple Line
